from March 9 to April 23, 2026.
The open call for the production and exhibition of a new artwork titled Tvornica has, for almost a decade, enabled artists to dedicate themselves to creative work under stable conditions. The concept of Tvornica was created in response to the lack of spatial and financial conditions for realizing artistic works that may not necessarily be profitable, but are important for experimentation, reflection, and artistic production. Tvornica 2026 continues to encourage artistic creation, production, and the exhibition of works that contribute to a vibrant space of free and open dialogue, cultural exchange, and artistic production.
As in previous years, the call is intended for works in progress, ideas, and concepts that have not yet been fully realized. Individual artists and artistic collectives may apply, and membership in a professional association or in HZSU is not required. The author selected through the open call will receive advisory support from GMK team during the conceptualization and realization of the work. All gallery resources will be available, as well as financial support for the production and exhibition of the work as part of the gallery program. The exhibition is planned for December 8–22, 2026.
The production and exhibition budget for the selected project is €3,000.
