Open Studio 2026 residency programme at GMK
Opening: Tuesday, 28 April 2026, 6 pm – 9 pm
Open visiting hours: until 25 May 2026, Wednesdays and Saturdays, 12 pm – 8 pm
Admission is free

We invite you to the opening of the first of two editions of the Open Studio 2026 programme, taking place on Tuesday, 28 April 2026, from 6 pm to 9 pm at Galerija Miroslav Kraljević.

The opening is conceived as an informal encounter with artist Fette Sans and an introduction to her residency process. Rather than a conventional exhibition opening, visitors are invited to enter a space that, during the residency, becomes a free and open library, a place for reading, conversation, exchange, and shared presence. During the encounter, visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the concept of the work, speak with the artist, and browse, borrow, and reproduce books that will become part of GMK’s temporary library.

Resident Biography

Fette Sans is a conceptual artist whose films, performances, writings, and installations explore how reality and desire are mediated by images, particularly through screens. What do the traces left by an image look like? What constitutes memory? Through her practice, she explores the conditions of being and belonging, the relationships between labour, gender, and the image, and the development of these notions within capitalism.
